“There is virtually no problem you cannot solve, no goal you cannot achieve, no obstacle you cannot overcome if you know how to apply the creative powers of your mind, like a laser beam, to cut through every difficulty in your life and your work.” - Brian Tracey (Get Smart!)
I have a belief that we are all born in the form of our creator, therefore we are all creators. So how do we tap into our innate ability and keep doing so, so that we can live our lives to the fullest?
CREATING CREATIVITY
1
Walk
Get your blood moving, walk, stretch, be somewhere with fresh air.
2
Keep An Ideas Note Book Handy
Ideas sometimes come when you least expect it and/or when you’re most relaxed, so have a notebook handy to capture the gems.
3
Music
Listen to something in the background which allows your thoughts to keep flowing.
4
Socialize
Sharpen your mind by communicating and exchanging ideas with other creative people as often as you can.
5
Beware Of The TV!
Studies have shown that your brain goes into a trance when watching TV which slows your brain down more than if you were asleep. Good if your having sleeping troubles perhaps, not so good if you want to be creative.
6
Drink In Moderation
Ever try being creative with a hangover? I rest my case.
7
Play Games
Your brain needs exercise to stay in shape just as your body does, so play games like Scrabble, Chess, Pictionary and Charades to help keep your brain happy, fit and healthy.
8
Drink Water
Sometimes a glass of water will do wonders for your thought processes.
9
Change Your Routine
Ever driven somewhere you’ve been to many times before and not remembered the journey because your mind was elsewhere and you were on auto-pilot? It’s too easy to sleep walk through routine, so change your routine.
10
Have Fun!
Find a way to enjoy the project your working on so you can complete it with passion!

Sometimes for me if I just start writing anything, character descriptions, introductions…anything just the act of putting thought to paper opens those creative flood gates.

“Ever try being creative with a hangover?” LOL
I’ve had to do an emergency repair to a pool liner
under water which was around 60c while hung-over…
Just trying to think while hung-over is hard enough.

Great information on how to be creative. I like to listen to music. Songs usually inspire me to think of something creative to write

Hi Annie
Liked this post , I drink my water, take a break but my personal trainer is always going on at me because he believes that I should be exercising in my breaks. I have to agree that I should sometimes but…we all find excuses.
As you see my name is Sue McDonald and I live in Australia. I am at present doing the Newbie course with Mark Terrell who originally did the course with Alex a few years ago.
It’s interesting learning and like everyone that starts these types of courses we all want to make money and have more time to ourselves. I hope you are making a great living and if you have time over the next few weeks and you could take a look at my blog and leave a comment, I would certainly appreciate.
Kindest regards
Sue

Ann Marie,
I think I would add to the list to respond to creativity when it comes. Creativity is like the wind…flow with it when it comes, because it is not always blowing. Catch it when you can.
Hi, my name is Cheryl and I am one of Mark Terrell’s students. He asked me to visit blogs to gain traffic and also to learn. I’d appreciate it if you would visit mine and comment by clicking on a blog title and scrolling to the bottom and letting me know what you think.
Thank you.
