Hey everybody,
well I’ve just come back from holiday, and lol and behold find myself with writer’s block? So I thought to myself, how do I overcome this? Here’s what I found.
Well, first of all, I thought fresh air would help, so I sat on the balcony and indeed this got my mind working. I thought to myself, why don’t I just start writing something, anything, to overcome the writers block. I found the second technique of just starting writing is obviously helping, and writing about how to overcome writers block seems to be an obvious subject at present.
A cup of tea and good background music to keep my mind flowing, also seems to be doing the trick. Having a small snack to feed my brain and ward of tiredness, also seems to be helping.
I think in the future though, the biggest thing for me would be to find out when you’re at your writing best, and get into the habit of writing at that time.
I hope you found this post a useful and enjoyable read. Happy writing!
Annie

I like it….getting all comfortable, having a good snack…zzzzz oops taking a nap to refresh my mind…
Just teasing a little, I like your ideas they are good for getting the cobwebs out.
Your best idea is to start writing…that seems to work the best for me too.
Another thing I do is a keyword search on the main topic I am thinking of. This many times get those creative juices flowing.

Good idea Scott, speaking of keywords, have you come across the Cash Keywords tool bar yet? It’s a tool bar you can add which gives you easy access to Affiliate and CPA offers such as Click Bank,Pay Dot Com and more , Keyword Tools such as Word Tracker, Word Pot and more plus you can view Trends, Demographics, News, Discussions, Google Adwords and Adsense Ads, Articles, Videos, Images and Public Domain. Very handy, you can download it from here http://cashkeywords.ourtoolbar.com

Writing even if you don’t feel like writing is effective. You don’t have to write with sense, just spill out what’s on your mind. With this practice you’re conditioning your mind to write. Then creativity will follow.

Hi Walter,
I couldn’t agree more, sometimes all you need to do is simply get started

Ann Marie,
I used to have the same problem with writer’s blog when writing on my blog. Then I figured it out.
Once I was able to figure out the action I wanted readers to take by the end of my article, it was much easier to write the article.
I figure out the call to action or essentially website link first, then the headline then I write…
Hope that helps.
Rob
P.S. You have one of the coolest mybloglog pictures going… It would be totally awesome to see it in a gravatar..

Hey Annie,
I like it, writing about writers block cures writers block.
I had the same problem a while ago and found thought to myself that if I had to force a blog post it would not be any good.
I Tweeted that thought and from that Tweet someone sent some tips, due to the fact that I got help from Twitter I found I was able to easily write a blog post about Twitter.
I also like to have a bit of music on in the bakground when I write to keep relaxed.
All the best,
James Howard

Hey James,
Thank you. I think the biggest thing with writers block is to find some way to stimulate and relax your mind at the same time, and then the rest will flow

Hi Annie
I have writers block at times and I like what you said about sitting back and relaxing. You need to open your mind and relax and get comfortable. If you sit there thinking about why you cannot think of anything you will go crazy.
Great post! I found you on Dean Hollands Site.

Hi Annie,
Yes, it definitely helps to relax and get some fresh air before writing.
What also works for me is your suggestion to just start writing.
I find that if I try to plan the whole article out before starting to write I get stuck.
When I start writing anything on a chosen subject the creative juices soon begin to flow.
If there is no subject you can think of to write on then going out for a walk or doing something away from the desk will refresh the mind and a subject will pop up.
Sometimes an idea will come early in the morning or late at night while still in bed. It’s helpful to write it down.
Any writing blog has a short span. The key is to be relaxed about it and not get stressed because of it.
They say that creativity works best when the mind is calm and relaxed.
